Since I left the muffler intact, I doubt it made much, if any, perceivable change in the dBs.

The other part of the equation is that the SMOG checks don't necessarily check every part of the vehicle code. Like window tinting, headlight aiming, bumper height, etc...

Lol the good life. My job requires me to be presentable. Thus gotta comb my hair daily. On the weekend I wear hats

 

I just can’t see running a brush through your hair for 30 seconds daily really preventing anything.
