And to be totally honest, I only dislike butt crimps because I've never been very good at them. But I can solder like nobody's business. If I could get good at remembering to put the heat shrink tube on *before* I solder, I would be unstoppable.

Fastest door handle swap yet, ~30 minutes

Can see where the Dorman unit broke, plastic piece that pushes the arm down snapped off

Can you lift your handle up with your pinky and minimal effort?
Is something binding in the linkages or connections requiring harder than normal force? Know what I mean? You lube all the linkage connections and crap right? I'm pretty sure I'd read in the past you had, just double checking. Crazy how many times that thing has gone south on ya

I've got 3 extra door handles for this reason; feel like the extra OEM replacement has much thicker plastic than the Dorman I used.

Yeah I can lift it up pretty easily, its the driver's side that's a little funky and I think the linkages might be tweaked. Passenger side broke this time partly because of my nephew opening it like a heathen and partly (probably mostly) Dorman quality plastic lol

The linkages needing lube is definitely overlooked often; what failed for me and most others is the plastic itself breaks within the handle.

The Dorman has a bigger lip that pushes the arm down than the OEM ones, I posted a side by side photo of them last time I replaced them a little over a year ago. But that bigger arm piece doesn't do any good when it breaks off lol

From what I know the 2.4 has the same bottom end as the 22re (supposedly) just different head. My 98 alsp has the 2 coil packs and 4 wire setup. I believe all those 2.4s are like that. I’ll offer him $2k the most. It ain’t 4wd and it’s 20yo so....

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
Got the AHC sensor hooked up to the SPC UCA bracket. Connecting something like AHC to an aftermarket product never really goes according to directions. It takes too much time to work out a solution.

One thing I did that I hope pays off was to mark the sensor arm position at full droop before I disassembled anything. Then I reattached the sensor arm at full droop. As the last step, I jacked up each control arm to make sure the sensor arm has a full range of motion from the lowest to the highest setting.

I left the adjuster loose so I can fine-tune it using Techstream once I get everything back together.

I made decent progress this morning until I got into reinstalling the hubs and wheel bearings. The previous owner recently replaced wheel bearings. But it looks like then the old bearings went bad, it grooved out one of the claw washers. He must have used the wrong wrench for the adjustment nuts because they look like he removed them will a Stilson pipe wrench. I need to order new adjustment nuts and claw washers to finish the job.

The brake shield and retainer ring cleaned up good. I had some bold hammer finish Rustoleum that I bought years ago for some other project. The retainer ring gasket was ok. The original retainer ring looks like it had some type of brass plating. This should look close to like it did when it was new.
