Thanks man. I ordered a Spectra from Rock and a new fan clutch using the discount code. I just replaced hoses. I checked NAPA prices and they are about $100 more than rock for that radiator.

I bought a Napa Radiator for my old Taco and it lasted years with no issues.

Always.. I think it came from my having drained it and letting it sit empty for some time.. Always seems to go that way. I think it was the original radiator.. So it was time. Ordered a fan clutch since I'm going to be removing it..

I bought a NAPA brand radiator over 10 years ago for an Infiniti. Still running without issue. The NAPA store in my town is tiny and doesn't stock much except for a Shivalay..

Speaking of, I saw their new truck on the road and it made me throw up in my mouth. I'd rather buy an old non running Apache over anything they make now.

I've done the fan clutch on my hundy too. It had siezed up.
On the 80 series, I had removed the clutch and drained the fluid and put a heavier weight hydraulic fluid like Toyota used in the fan clutches in middle east and helped keep that thing cooler during those hot months. It worked and made a difference too

Makes sense... I just did some reading on them and apparently that have a better 1st gear gear ratio compared to the american H42 transmission

Just crazy an almost 40 year old non rebuilt transmission and xfer case are worth 3300:eek:

Definitely falls into the range of 'classic vehicle' and is priced accordingly, not a 40 year old junker. And it still may be way overpriced. I don't follow prices on that stuff, but FJ40 series stuff is definitely priced as collectible it seems.

I think I read about that.. Need the Middle East Version Enhancement (MEVE). Oh and I learned you got to keep them upright or the oil runs into a part where it shouldn't go. That will go well in shipping.. Yikes!

I'm sure the cleanup was a little rough but it looks like it could have been much, much worse
