Nice 4runner. He's done the headlight conversion to the 05-09 headlights. Price seems a little high but I also don't know the market out there. My mom lives like 20 minutes from Bend.

You can pop projectors into your stock housings

Yes, but those are different headlight housings for the 05-09 than what my 03 has. The 03/04 are flat on the bottom whereas the newer versions aren't. Gives you better aftermarket options for headlights as well. Also involves changing the grill and the filler moldings under the headlight.

I have no plans to change my headlights right now.

Also, poping the plastic lens off can be tricky, especially getting it to reseal nicely if you do get it off without destroying it. And the OEM lenses are usually fubar at that age anyhow and not worth the effort. Mine look like crap, regardless of how often I clean them. If I do replace them, I'll convert to the newer ones and get aftermarket black housings like the ones on that 4runner @eon_blue posted. I hate chrome for the most part.

You can't do any of that online? I did all that stuff online last time I dumped a vehicle.

I just sign the title over and fill out a bill of sale, not much to it. Then again, none of the vehicles I've ever sold have ever been insured at any point in time.

CA doesn't have a release of liability form? Here if you sell a vehicle you can still be liable for it til the new owner registers it unless you notify the DMV to release liability

Lol, I completely forgot about that. Yes there’s a release of liability but it can be done online. Your liability isn’t released until the new owner pays the taxes and fills out the paperwork.

WA is the same way, it's a perforated section on the title that gets torn off and turned into the DOL... because we're idiots here apparently and need one agency for drivers license (DMV) and one for vehicle titles and registration (DOL) :jerkoff:

Damn that sucks, it doesn't matter if the new owner refuses to pay a dime .. if you turn in that release of liability here you're good to go.

I sold an astro van that some kid in seattle bought and he racked up a whole mess of parking tickets that went to collection and the state came after me.. thankfully I kept the thread text of when he bought it and forwarded that with an apology for not filling out the release. They accepted it any stopped harassing me for any more money
