I remember my first semester at college, I was stressed out. I bombed a few tests. It's not until that 4th week of class that one finds the rhythm that works. I still managed a 3.7 GPA which was pretty decent considering my rocky start.

Okay. If I'm entering a goddamn grilled cheese sandwich cook-off, I will use room temperature butter and spread it beforehand.

But if I'm just looking for something to eat, then I will just melt the butter in the damn pan.

 

You would never make it in the south. The land where every household has a Paula Dean cookbook on display in the kitchen. The land where you cook bacon for breakfast just to season the pan you intend to cook dinner in. The land where pork chops get fried and served with gravy. And cast iron is the tool of choice in the kitchen. Where McDonalds most popular Breakfast Item is this:
The land where Desert means Pea-can pie and a glass of milk. A good day is Krispy Kreme Donuts and Bojangles Chicken paired with an ice cold glass of this:
And yet, we burn off all those calories simply from going outside of our homes into 95 degree heat at 90% humidity.
