The firewall engine ground next to the windshield wiper motor is so prone to causing a no start on my flatbed. The valve cover seals have never been done so it’s just puking oil on it, then dirt cakes on it and it’s game over. Starter just won’t spin.

Glad someone was around to jump start me since the ground only stops me from starting it myself. I actually went through the whole starter removal because I didn’t believe the ground could be the cause 6 weeks later. Doing valve cover seals and putting rebuilt injectors in next week when some fuel rail washers get in. Then I’m pulling the core support and fender aprons.

I thought at the time that because I was going for a power door it auto locked the actuator and made it stuck close, and I had no way electrically to unlock it. So I ended up swapping my entire other manual actuator to the new door and now its installed and fine. But it was frustrating at the time.
