Oh we’ll be fine. He got lucky. First few days will be toughest. I go back to work Monday. I’ll have the car back with me Monday at work. I’ll get it on a. Trailer and out to the farm.
The paramedics told us all my father could keep talking about is how he’s upset about the car! Mind you he was bleeding out!

The correct answer was “your not my pal, friend”

to which I would reply “your not my friend, buddy” thus the cycle continues

Glad he's doing good. Better to be sore than dead. At least he's got another story to tell now!

Trying to decide what to do first this weekend.

Picked up a jigsaw and some other wood destroying tools to cut the base plate for the rear of the 4R. Template is made so that's some work there.

Already got the blinkies in the dash resolved so I don't need to mess with those again until the FJ case swap happens.

Received the trans cooler and Magnafine filters this last week. So install the larger trans cooler with one of the inline filters and then take the OEM trans cooler and swap that into the power steering system with the other inline filter.

I also received the steam cleaner I ordered for doing the new seat covers. Steam bring old seat foam back to life. It should also be better at cleaning the shitty carpet than the store rental I tried. So there's that to play with too.

Leatherseats.com replacement covers. Have a new driver side seat cushion coming as well since mine is torn up.

Cool.. I know you'll keep us posted. I snagged a new driver seat cushion for the day when I replace the front leathers. After I get through buying armor stuff, I'll get around to the seats.

That is funny.. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with the two Toyotas on the list. Don't know enough about the others to issue an opinion.

The thing I like about Tacoma is the fact that I don't have to think about it at all.

I don't care about the daily market value and I'm not looking to trade it in this lifetime. I just enjoy it and know it will work when I need it.

The leather in the 4runner is just gross. The PO never took care of it and raised 2 girls with the truck. The tan color shows ALL the dirt and there is a huge hole in the door side seat bolster. I want to replace the front seatbelts at some point too. Again the driver side is just gross. I might try washing it but would rather just replace it.

Ordered $136 worth of OEM dark grey trim pieces last night for the color change when I do the seats so I can swap out some of the tan colored plastic stuff like the headrest buttons and such. One of the rear seat fold down back release buttons trim is broken anyhow and needed replacing. Won't stay stuck in it's hole.
