Niihau is a private island owned by the robinson family. Its completely cut off from the world. You need to be invited to go to the island and arn't allowed to speak with the residence there, there is no running water, electricity grid, or anything like that, Niihau hawaiians speak different hawaiian than the rest of us and that is where a lot of the last pure blood hawaiians live.

@Sebz13 side note... grade 8 is SAE designation I'mma be technical here and tell you the metric standard is designated as 10.8 for the equivalent strength. In the metric section you can find higher strengths like 12.8. Don't get that ... technically grade 8 (and 10.8) and grade 5 (metric is called 8.8) are the only 2 bolt hardness you should use for a vehicle

Grade 8 bolts are great for tensile strength where pulling or compressing forces are applied, But are brittle under shearing forces. Grade 5 bolts are great for shearing forces, but are lousy under pulling or compressing forces because they can stretch or compress.

Thank you for clarifying that for me, I thought any native Hawaiian was allowed to go there and only howlies were refused entry

Its was bought by Haoles back in the day for I think 10 grand.

Its actually an amazing feat, the robinson family takes care of all local residence, they all are under the robinsons wing, they have planted I think thousands of trees on the island and are trying to keep it as old Hawaiian as possible. There are no hotels or developments or even paved roads. If you look at it like this, If you were on that island it would be like stepping back into time to see Hawaii before it was molested for profit.

I come from a family of Japanese and filipino immigrants who came here a long time ago to work on the plantation. Immigrants seeking a better life. We all co existed but every year, Hawaii gets just a little more Haole and we lose site of what our roots are.

Haole does mean white yes, but I've always looked at it like this HAOLE is not a skin color, HAOLE is a mentality.

Living here in the PNW I've got alot of native Hawaiian friends that have immigrated here and I love the family lifestyle. Hanging out with them is so eye opening and enjoyable. Except I can't drink as much as they do lol. I'm a firm believer that Hawaii should be it's own sovereign state... it was already a nation before the white man got there

I didn't no it was spelled haole thank you for letting me know. My buddy Kelly explained it to me very drunk one night it's more than just being white, it's those Chad NJ dude bros that come ruin the beach and get all 'wooooo' when they get drunk. So I thought he just meant howling

Haha yeah I have a couple homies up there, we certainly are alcoholics here in Hawaii. I sold wine for living before Covid and I can easily drink people under the floor, I mean we are talking archer levels of liquor.

US has too much of a military interested to ever let hawaii go sadly. If you look into it it really was theft of a nation. Hawaii was recognized by over 200 nations before it was illegally overthrown.

Other fun facts, Hawaii at one point was the most bilingual and literate nation

Iolani palace, our capital had electricity in it before the white house did.

My friends have instilled such an interest in me about Hawaii I've done alot of research into it.. you're so right, it was a complete theft of a nation. I'll never visit cause I honestly believe white people shouldn't be there but I love seeing it from the internet!
