I was half way through turning my 93 astro into a true 4x4 before I scrapped the idea and changed direction. You take the front drive train from an S10 of the same generation and bolts directly to the astro AWD sub frame.

I regret not following that project through :(

I didn't follow through because I was young and would have rather spent my money on dumber purchases. Besides my mentality at the time was I could get everywhere I wanted in 2WD (I beat that van harder than you beat your camry and 4R combined) why waste the money and time? Plus I was living in the back between work shelves and running a handyman service out of it as well lol I couldn't retire it for more than 48hrs to fix something

Now 1st gen Astros are very hard to come by and I'm not dealing with the 4.3 vortex in the second gens, they had lots of issues and by the time they got it all worked out they discontinued the astro. So I'd have to buy 3 project vehicles at once and I dont own a house to do that

    Pretty nice temps

That's when its "warm" for us.

Here when it's warm, hot, etc. there's a nice breeze since we're in a valley and not far from the ocean.

    Love it

What part of western WA are you in? I'm actually visiting my parents a bit south of Seattle right now.
