Yeah that's a way to play too, as kids in the 80s and especially like on family road trips, whoever got jinxed had to stay silent until their name was said by somebody

I need to do this on the 4R. Fluid in the reservoir is pretty dark and I have no idea when the system was last serviced. Also need to replace all the rubber brake lines with braided hose.

It's definitely time for me as well.. i got a real spongy brake feel. Thinking of being preemptive and buying the extended SS lines cause ill probably do the lift kit in the winter.

Can you run extended length brakes lines without a lift installed or is gonna get caught on something and possibly get torn out?

So when I was first learning the forum, after I learned about the email notification setting and changed it, the threads that I had responded in or watched PRIOR to changing the setting still sent me a notification that there was a new post in the thread.
And I still get an email notification if one of those old threads get necro'ed. Only a couple of them though before I learned of the setting......
Imagine getting an email notice for each post in this lunchtable thread!!

My brakes are working fine, I just don't know the service history on them.

Yes you can. Just use zip-ties to keep them out of harms way.

You know how to reach me. Basically the abs pump pumps the fluid out the bleeder. If you try to do it normal you end up with an air pocket because of the valves in the pump being closed

    Cool.

I was a bit intimidated by this system because of the funky pump on it but didn't realize it was only for the rears. Also annoying that most brake line kits are only 4 lines whereas there are 6 rubber lines in the system. The rear calipers have a rubber line each, not just the lines running to the axle hard lines. Guess I'll have to determine length and connection to replace the 2 rear caliper lines.
