I never leave anything in my rigs, I'm just sort of like that. I'm not a very trusting person by nature and I was raised in places where your shit will get stolen. But removing my subwoofer everytime would get old, so maybe I'll disguise it or something instead

 

Dude not having anything in there for the crooks to see, it must've been someone that heard the sub thumping some time, you know, to know the sub was even there in first place

 

Man that sucks!! My tacoma had been broke into twice, once in Dayton ohio on a vacation, smashed the extra cab window out and stole my CDs and stereo, and the other while parked in front of my towns PD. They smashed the drivers side window out, also stole cds, a stereo, and my tsunami air compressor. I told the cops people are ballsy breaking into cars right in front of the police station. The cops response "happens all the time haha". I did not laugh and told him glad my stolen tax money goes to good use, he was not amused...

Just be glad, like me, that they didnt take the truck!

Him: I saw a lot of truck parts over there I'm interested in. Steps back 6'
Me: give me your name and number and iI'l pass it on. As barrel levels.
Him: what about the people on this side here, I see a bed liner I need, are they home?
Me: so you're looking in strangers yards for things you want and knocking on doors to see if anybodys home? As I chamber a shell and step through the exterior security door onto the porch with muzzle levelled at guts.
Him: sorry to bother you sir, have a nice day
Me: and don't come back

Yeah it seems like weird strategy to go ask a neighbor about stuff in other peoples yards.

But then again, if they were casing the place, it would have been smarter not to knock on any doors at all.

Naw, my Dog was on silent alert pacing prior to knock on door. Young guy was shady looking and parked at entrance to another drivway kinda hidden behind shrubs. He changed the subject when I asked for name and number. Kept looking at the generator.
I'm convinced he would have stolen the generator if I wasn't home.
My Dog doesn't bark at good folks.

 

Deaf in one ear and like 30-40% loss in the other.... Sound is never an issue.
And 2.5 acres away, I won't hear a thing
