Build thread for the 66 Merc coming today... at some point. Might work on it some tomorrow to figure out why I have no power. Hopefully something simple, but I’m sure mice have gotten somewhere. We shall see

 

My Merc’s only got 141k. You drive to much!

 

The only thing inactueate is the leaks, gas money and tires

I havnt had less than 700 bucks in my checking since I started working for Pappa johns

none of my cars leak anymore, the 98 4 runner was a drip from a loose trans drain plug

I only buy my tires from facebook marketplace

But all else is spot on

Rolling blackouts in CA and this guy on our neighborhood FB group is asking if he can buy a "pre-charged" generator to power his house, lol.

 

What do you mean I can’t run the generator inside my house?

 

I have a feeling he thinks generators are the same thing as a portable charging station for a smart phone or something. He's gonna crap his pants when he sees what a generator capable of powering a home costs.

@Black DOG Lila you need to pull and rebuild that engine. OEM parts only or it'll blow up at ANY time and send a rod through your glove box

 

In alot of the neighborhoods where I live the power lines are above ground running through real dense trees. Heavy wind storms cause blackouts all fall and winter. I lost track of how many transplants shit their pants at the cost of a home generator system

You can get a 10k watt unit for like $1,000 from Harbor Freight. I bought one but returned it because it was too loud. I bought the nearly silent inverter generator instead.

I’ve been building a generator shed for it, need to finish putting the vents in.
