I'm in Seattle but even if I wanted to go home to Spokane area, I can't highway is closed due to fire and low visibility :/

 

Don't use the highway

 

The highway had the best visibility, there's no visibility at all on the two other routes you could take around the outside (either one adds 5 hrs or so). They've evacuated about 8 mi from my house, but the wind is blowing it away from my place anyway.

Work will definitely come knocking, but the mods I need to install are easy.

It'll only take 2 weekends to get done. That and I own most everything minus new tires.

Longest thing that'll take is sending the front diff to Zuk. His builds are so freaking thorough...

Sold it months ago; I didn't like the 'unbalanced' feeling I felt from being up on top even after trying to get my truck as level as possible.

I always had the thought of sleeping in the bed of the truck, which is why I sought a camper shell (I had camped that way in the past) and figured the 4R is a nice medium.

 

I can't help but feel like RTTs on top of 4runners look way too top heavy... Would make me uneasy doing off camber trails with one mounted that high up
