This is the error I get, OSX thinks that the Adobe security certificate is revoked and won't let me continue the use the installer.

    Screen Shot 2018-06-18 at 11.47.00 PM.jpg

That command essentially (from what I can tell from that thread) forces OSX to bypass the certificate check and proceed with installation. My issue right now is that the 'xattr -c' protocol is not reading the file path correctly, and telling me there's no such file with that name even though I copied the file path word for word from the file's properties.

    I have no clue.

Simplify your file path then, it's just the installer so make the path an easy one to type. I'd look up the bash syntax for command progrssion, maybe you're missing quotes or commas or something

From what I remember you can turn off cert checking in the system controls deal too temporarily

Freakin' Adobe man... I wouldn't be having this problem if they didn't force me to use Creative Cloud. I borrowed my friend's CC subscription to use Premiere Pro and when it expired it locked my entire CS6 Design Suite - EVEN THOUGH I OWN IT!

    Ridiculous...

There was a small glimmer of hope in my eyes when I turned my computer off and on again, and the installer went past the certificate authorization stage as the sudo command appeared to work...

...and then I was greeted by this.

I give up. You win Adobe.

I'm about to give in to getting a subscription, seriously. This is not worth the hassle at all.

Figuring out how to re-install the CS6 suite is literally one step forward, two steps back. My CS6 suite came with my MacBook Pro I got through my school. At our orientation four years ago, they made us run a custom script called 'CS6 Serialization' which I am assuming verified the CS6 license on our laptop.

I am sure the license was bought through an Enterprise Account in bulk, but I have no idea how the script works. I tried running it again and nothing happens.

    Guess it only works once.

    adobe_prtk --tool=StartTrial --leid=LEID

This is to start the trial for a given LEID.

    adobe_prtk --tool=Serialize --leid=LEID --serial=serialNum --adobeid=AdobeID [--personGUID=personGUID]

This is to perform the online serial validation and to update the internal databases with the serial and

    Adobe ID information.

    adobe_prtk --tool=UnSerialize --leid=LEID [ --locale=locale ]

This is to remove all existing non-trial serializations applied to the product with the given LEID.

This is to serialize using a prov.xml file.

    adobe_prtk --tool=RegisterTrial --driveradobecode=diverAdobeCode [--adobeid=adobeID] [--personguid=personGUID]

God Apple is a joke... I'm trying to get a new laptop and the new generation of MacBooks are completely un-upgradable and un-repairable. Everything is soldered directly to the logic board and there is nothing serviceable at all.

I have a 2012 MacBook Pro Unibody which was the last year with the full form factor removable hard drive, removable CD drive, and removable RAM. Each year after that a component slowly became part of the logic board until we are now at a point where everything is one solid piece. I just looked at the iFixit teardown and the only thing you can really service is the trackpad, and the touch bar.

Imagine if you had a car and the engine was a single and solid piece with no serviceable parts. One day, a hose springs a leak. Obvious solution is to replace the hose, right?

Nope. Trash your car and buy a new car, it's totaled. That's Apple's logic. Repairability is a thing of the past.

I just stick with Apple through all their BS because despite their total headassery, they sure make a simple to use, no-frills product. I've had three Windows laptops, and my 2012 MacBook has lasted the longest. My first cell phone was an iPhone 3GS, and I've had an iPhone ever since. Their incorporation of communications and user interface is just so... convenient. I stick with them because that shit is simple, and when I'm in class taking notes or trying to be productive, I appreciate the simpleness of their design.

I don't know, but I just get Applecare for three years and it it breaks after that, oh well. I have no interest in repairing or upgrading them.

Really? That’s pretty cheap for where I am. They usually go for 20-23 it seems like. I wish they made a manual in the longbed.

I guess it depends on the area then, trucks in the south east usually go for lower prices than ones in lets say California.
