I mean...it's not all that bad lol. I got rid of it before I started doing some of the harder trails that really would have demolished it. It's got some dents and scrapes but would still bolt up just fine, but definitely not worth paying for shipping on lol. If you were local I'd give it to you to try out

Lol well I appreciate that. I'm betting just going with good skids right away would be best. Still piecing the truck back together slowly but hoping to have it road worthy before snow flies. Wouldn't be the end of the world if it didn't have skids by then though.

I wouldn't do any wheeling without at least the stock skid under there...the oil pan is just begging to take a hit from a kicked up rock or misjudged obstacle and ruin your day. I've made this analogy before... seeing people wheel without skids is like hearing about a hockey player playing the game without wearing a cup...sure you might be okay, but if you aren't it's going to suck big time.

Even on the street, I ran over a wheel cover once that was rolling down the road and I was going about 50 and didn't see it until it went right under my truck. Skid plate demolished it but if the skid weren't there, it probably would have cut right into my oil pan or hit something else underneath in a bad way.

Agreed. Would definitely prefer having one. Coming from the lowered car scene I've heard stories all the time about guys destroying oil pans. That was from being too low to the ground though, not climbing rocks. :D

Stock ones are damn near disintegrated thanks to road salt, otherwise I'd put those back on. Might just pony up the dough for good ones.

Nice lol. I nailed my rear diff hard again on my trip last weekend...was definitely one of the harder trails I've ever done. Had to use my sliders to pivot around corners which I've never really had to do before...usually they're just there to protect me from dropping onto something. My poor rear diff looks like it gets abused regularly, I just fixed the drain plug too and tagged it again. Luckily it doesn't look like it's messed up though

Took a 100lbs worth of aluminum scrap in and left thinking i'd been better off throwing it away.

I have an allen key style plug in there so it cannot get messed up anymore. But I really need a new IFS skid now, only tagged my sliders twice in boulder basin this year

The big dumpster at work is free and it would of saved me the time sorting it and driving to the scrap yard.

Damn that sucks.. got a pic of the tire? I'm sure it would have happened to any tire as those coopers are beef, but that sucks. That's one reason I bought mine from Costco, their road hazard warranty is free with instal. Not as good of a warranty I'm sure as if you buy it from a 4x4 shop but still better then nothing

To each his own. The corporate school food I get is either a hit or a miss. I like cooking my own food when I get the chance, but you’re right about convenience.

    I think it’s a fun novelty.

But it’s compeltely and utterly stupid.

    We’ll build a star.

And we’ll make other galaxies pay for it.
