You're going to need a billion AAL's to support the weight of that much water.

I had a drop in bedliner for a few weeks but then I looked under it one day and saw a ton of rocks and old water trapped underneath it, it made my bed look like absolute shit in a matter of days. Threw it in the trash and put a roll-on bedliner in after that

You can just drill a couple wholes. It's just plastic.

But yeah, get rid of those crappy plastic liners, those things suck.

yeah it sucked especially because my truck was still new at the time, and still looked like it was off the 2004 showroom floor. The bed went from pristine to looking like it had been hauling gardening equipment around for a few years, I was pissed. But, I figured I would put a grippy paint-on bedliner in eventually so I went ahead and did that. Few years later now even that bedliner is trashed from camping gear and rocks and stuff, but I don't care quite as much now lol.

My biggest problem was that I haul motorcycles, and the plastic is so slippery, it didn't matter how tight you made the tie-down straps, the front wheel would still slip.

Also the thing about collecting water and other crap between the liner and the bed was pretty lame, too.

I'm a fan of the drop-in bed liner because you can scuff it up and damage it all you want, and it doesn't damage the actual sheet metal of the bed. If it gets worn out you can just get a new one. I'm happy with my drop in. I understand a drop-in traps dirt and water under the bed, but I'm happy to take that risk to have a stronger more durable surface. Plus it just looks better IMO.

Proper spray-in is expensive, which puts me off.

the drop in might not do damage itself, but the water and rocks that it traps between the bedliner and the bed destroyed my bed in a matter of days (cosmetically speaking).

I know. It does trap crap under there, but if you clean it every now and then I like the benefits of a drop-in bedliner over a spray-in.

I think it's probably not so bad if you don't see a lot of dirt or trails, but when you're doing that often then tons of dirt and rocks make their way under there...I'd be sure to remove it for doing trails because they scratched the hell out of my bed being wedged between there

Yeah under mine looks like shit. Looks like the PO had no liner and spilled shit back there then threw a liner in to hide it

Plastic liners are good if you haul a lot of stuff that can stain the spray ons. Paint, dyed mulch, etc. I dont know what I would do if I spilled paint on my Line-x liner. My 92 pickup has a plastic liner and its super easy to clean after being used for truck stuff.

I use my truck for for truck duties like hauling trash, wood, paint, varnish, etc etc. So I really do value that smooth plastic bedliner. Far easier to put things in and outside the bed.

That reminds me. This is one of my favorite stories to tell people.

I sold my old over-rail style bedliner in favor of an under-rail bedliner so I could attach my camper shell at the time. I sold it to a man from Big Sur, California (surfer/beachfront town). This man looks like Jeff Bridges from the Big Lebowski. He was the epitome of a typical Californian 'surfer dude'.

Out of curiosity, I asked him why he bought a Tacoma. His eyes lit up, he looked at me, and proudly exclained 'OHHH I OWN A POT FARM!'
