I'm kind of enjoying reading the 3rd gen supercharger threads now that a few guys have installed the new 3rd gen Magnuson supercharger, and most of them are disappointed in it lol. People's expectations have been way overblown since there was talk about a 3rd gen supercharger in 2016

My humble opinion is that the 5.0 and ecoboost trucks put down a ton of power in comparison and set the bar for what a "truck" should be from a drivability standpoint... forgetting that historically they've been slow as fuck

Those 5.0s for an NA motor take very well to bolt ons, unlike the stupidly inefficient modular motors that were the 4.6

The ecoboost as well, but their water pump design scares me after someone posted it here awhile ago.

I find it amusing that Ford can make a 10 speed auto trans shift better and less erratically than Toyota's 6 speed lol

Can you imagine a 3rd gen with a 10 speed auto, it wouldn't know wtf to do

Ford's truck automatics have been pretty damn solid since the mid 2000s. Those trucks were getting 6 speeds while the second gen tacomas got 4.

Yeah seeing that water pump design on the 3.5 and the 5.0’s having oil consumption issues is making it real hard for me to buy a Ford. I kinda want a turd gen after reading that shit......ninja edit LOL

Just so I understand, you have the top 3 bolts in at the coil buckets but you cant turn the lower eyelets to line up the miss alinement spacers to the lower control arms. If this is the case take 2 tie downs one on each side of the coil. Loop them around the coil and ratchet down. This will take the pressure off the lower coil seat and the eyelet. You "should be able to turn the eyelet and shaft at this point.

Yeah I'm going to try that this coming Tuesday.

I have more tools in my storage and apartment, and was working only with the tools I carry in the truck.

Relieving tension the way you mentioned is the ticket, not to mention getting a longer screw driver for more leverage at the bottom

Just funny how the Tacoma Fox went in with a breeze, and the 4R Kings were beating me up.

Think my back and rushing to get errands done got the best of me that's all.

    Sciatica sucks
