I liked this tan bed lined 1st gen earlier this year. It was a smoother finish that didn't stick to stuff like a lot of liners do.

Yeah my new one needs a seal and one small fiberglass repair on the strange SnugTop mounting system.

Have you put on 50lbs since your trip to Mexico? Cause you're way scrawny (compared to me anyway) in those photos and I can still fit through my rear slider

The trick is to go one arm with your head first then shimmy till you're at your waist. Then you'll get your second arm past the frame and then pull your badonkadonk through.

Not exactly easy but definitely doable

Oh I'm at least 20lbs heavier since 6 yrs ago lol

But that window is just a small square I don't see how anyone but maybe a kid could fit thru that?

If the whole back window was pushed out then yeah definitely but the only part that slides open is the middle square part on mine

Our Linex place doesn't deal with shells and the nearest Snugtop dealer is a decent drive. If a place did both I'd lean towards that too. My shell is off since I'm taking the truck to the body shop in 10 days.

Meanwhile I'm trying to rebuild my camper shell while I'm still sleeping out the back of it

My one window leaked and NOONE sells seals for it, only a complete new window. So while I'm trying to track down some kind of seal that will work I used cardboard and packing tap to seal the giant ass hole.

This is my view now :anonymous:20201007_212704.jpg

I 100% guarantee you can fit through... im fairly certain the 98-00 center slider is smaller than the 01+ slider and i can still fit through. I just did last week:anonymous:

I was trying to avoid the hokeyness of using that stuff.. but I might just have to use a tube of silicone on each window and call it a day :goingcrazy:

You need a camper world nearby lol. I had an older ARE before and I'm glad it was off a garaged truck.

I went to my local ARE dealer and they said they don't make my windows anymore cause the shell is too old.

Went to an ARE dealer 30 miles away and he wouldn't help me because I don't have a serial number tag anymore.

I'm fairly certain I found the original manufacturer of these windows (cause they're still used) and it's a company called proVent out of Mexico but they won't sell me anything unless I buy 400 windows:eek:

I really want a new shell as well. I've got the ARE MX series now so it's a little taller. But I wanna get the Leer 180 and get some REAL headspace in here lol
