Backed off the rack adjustment nut to 26 ft/lbs but steering still feels tighter than I'm used to... But considering the nut was finger loose before I guess I'm just used to the steering being way too loose. Crazy how sensitive that thing is

Just mark the rack/bolt and see if it moves again from there.

Yup used a paint pen on it, at only 26ftlbs I wouldn't be surprised if it did

Yeah that's how mine is being. I've heard if they are too tight it will ruin the rack too so I definitely don't want that. But hopefully it holds on the right torque spec

    I have mods
Put a dab of RTV on the edge where the threads are and the body of the rack. Should help keep it set in place. We do that with various motorcycle bolts on street bikes at the race track that need to stay put, like the oil drain bolt.

It's this wonky thing right here, gotta jam a fat 24mm allen key in it to adjust it lol.

    Screenshot_20201010-154857~2.jpg

No threads to mess with but I could put some RTV on the outside to dissuade it from wanting to turn itself

Yeah, that's what I meant. Couple dabs on each side will help prevent it from backing out on it's own.

Better than too tight from what I've read, mine was leaking some PS fluid though from being too loose which is how I caught it

The corded version of it you can also get a few options For a little more $$ like a foot pedal to turn it on and off.

Pipe cutters work on the small stuff. But they arent good at cutting stuff thats already strapped to a wall.

Hacksaw on the larger sizes since the sawzall just wants to grab it.
