20 Tundras doing Gold? That would be a nightmare to be in a group that big on Gold Mountain lol. Would definitely want to get there before a group that size...what time you planning on hitting the trail? There's a small staging area right at the beginning of Gold that I usually air down on

Gotcha, I couldn't remember if 3N16 was part of the actual Gold Mountain trail or just a fire road leading to it...trucks that big aren't going to be getting through Gold unscathed that's for sure, lol.

I think my buddy wanted to meet up closer to 10 but I'll see if he'd be able to do 930

Just can't do a four banger especially in a 3rd gen. The last Tacoma that it was acceptable in was the 2nd gen regular cab.

@Prayn4surf I believe Gold only hits 3N16 at the end (top) of the mountain, the bottom/staging area for climbing the trail is right off the highway just east of the lake. Should be clear of running into that group if they're doing the fire roads

Wiring harness spliced, but I need to wrap it with some Tesa tape to make it super clean.

I had concerns the rear of this skidplate was lacking. And it was a really well functioning dirt scoop. Should be more solid and slide instead of scoop now.

So I took @Sperrunner ’s advice and stopped by Sears to see if they were having any sales on Craftsmen.

They were, in fact, having a sale.

A going out of business sale.

And the Craftsmen section has been empty for weeks by now.

Out of the scraps and heaps and piles of open merchandise, damaged products, and just general trash, I found one intact box left. A retractable air hose reel.

Finding an intact Craftsmen product in this mess was literally trying to find a needle in a haystack.

I don’t know how Sears has survived for this long. Even in death they’re still charging a ridiculous amount of money.

People get crazy during those liquidation sales.

I closed a Kmart a couple years ago, crazy shit.

2 old ladies would come everyday and buy cart fills of jeans for quilts.

No joke, cart fulls almost daily.

    This shit was too funny.

I was passing by the Sears auto center, and the parking lot is basically deserted. Yet I see this one Lexus LS400 parked in front, completely covered in dust.

Curious I tried opening the front door. It was open. I glanced into the back seat and there’s a whole transmission, torque converter, HVAC system, and radiator sitting there.

Poor car. Guy probably couldn’t pay to have it fixed and just abandoned it.

That’s good to hear. I’ve been wanting a Harbor Freight one for the longest time, and this one was cheap enough so I picked it up.

I bet you’re right. There has to be a reason why the radiator is in the backseat.

Dammit. I should’ve checked the trunk.

Let’s hope so. I don’t have much faith in modern Craftsmen, but it’s a step above harbor freight.

I wonder what the story is on that car. The LS400 was the flagship Lexus car back in the 90’s. That car singehandledly made Lexus into the brand that it is today.

Such a shame to see it in that condition.
