    In retrospect I probably should have spent more on a better boat haha. I think I’ve put twice the cost of the boat into repairs. I don’t know how the people I bought it from had it running and on the lake in August.

    I’m just happy it has a simple old pushrod four cylinder engine. So easy to work on it. I buy parts at the parts store for a 1974 Volvo 142s Wagon when I need to get new things for it.

    My uncle owns a salmon fishing boat built in the 50s(??). The maintenance cost is insane. Gets pulled out of the water every year for a repaint and a bunch of other chit

    Believe it or not it was really this August. The title they signed to me was dated August too. The fuel pump just got up and failed one day.
