Master Locks are terrible too. You can also pick them with aforementioned Bic Pen.

But you’re right. Locks keep honest people honest.

 

Looks like they added something new and removed Toluene. That can is actually pretty old and likely from Washington around 2 years ago. I'll check another I bought in AZ later

 

I love Master Locks, you can just zip them open with a rake pic in like a minute if you've got a good wrist haha

 

Could be it. That was a relatively new can.

I had a theory it had something to do with solvents.

My parents thought I was overkill when I installed a commercial van lock on our side door. Could still pick it, or ya know. Unscrew the hinges. Haha.

 

Maybe susbstitued for something fast drying. Many solvents like paint thinner, mineral spirits, naphtha were banned in CA. They're now sold as substitues that are acetone based. I have to get mineral spirits in Vegas. Lol

I’m curious. What kind of bike like do you recommend? Is there any one that’s harder to defeat than he others?

Dogs are by far the best security system. They're fun to play fetch with, too.

The other thing is I don't leave all my crap in the bed of my truck. Even if I had a topper, I wouldn't leave it in the truck. I don't leave anything on the seats, either.

The new kryptonites are pretty good. They used a double sided square key which is much harder to pick than the round Bic shaped ones.

 

Those are actually some of the best locks because of the captured pin and enclosed sides. If you get a quality one from ABUS or National Sec they only real option is to cut it off haha

 

Can’t you still pick it from the bottom? I remember the way it unlocks is the whole key cylinder slides out.

 

The ABUS ones are super tough to pick with elliptical pins and side as well as top and bottom drilled pins. If you lose the key you're gonna need a plasma cutter lol

 

sure, you can pick just about anything.

Most people now-a-days don't pick locks, though. They're more likely to try and cut it or smash it.

 

Ah. Yeah I’d love some ABUS locks. I replaced all the exterior Yale locks in our house with Schlage a number of years ago.

Couldn’t pony up ABUS money so Schlage it is.

 

Not drive. Uber, Taxi, Walk, pull off a spark tube and call AAA for a tow, take the bus. ETC.
