The traction so far is leagues ahead of the old Michelin primacy MXV4 tires I had. No more wheel spin at 75% throttle in the dry. Snow performance should be great with the foot print. We shall see soon. Noise level wise, I just installed some yoko avids on a Camry today. More conventional tire. Noise level with new vs new, these are VERY quiet for the tread design

How do you like your milwaukee "workbench"? Have had my eye on that same model recently, just curious what your experience has been.

The box is built like a brick shithouse. Even empty it's heavy as hell and solid. I really dig it for tool storage, all my drawers still work great after 3.5yrs and the padding is holding up well. The work surface is sturdy but it's laminated MDF so it's not really great for heavy hammering, but for storage and tinkering its great, it doesn't bow or flex. You could easily put a piece of butcher block on instead. Or you could even just line the table top with a piece of 1/4" alum or steel and it'd be a great heavy work surface too.

If I had the space right now I'd totally buy another one exactly like it. I kinda regret not buying two when I got this one on discount. But until I get a bigger shop space one and a workbench is gonna have to do

One day I’ll get something fast. I started out replacing struts on my Camry like 4 times in 100K miles. Bad taste in my mouth driving cars around here after that. The 45 minute drive to my high school was like a rumble strip the entire ride. I really want to 2ZZ swap an MR2 Spyder with a blown engine.

Any reason I can't tap the back side of my bed on each side to hold my spares with this?

    https://www.amazon.com/Eaz-Lift-484...s=spare+tire+bed+mount&qid=1611493690&sr=8-29

Is the structural integrity good? I want to keep my bed for use, and my original spare location I'm thinking of leaving as is to make accommodation for additional fuel way later on

That sheet metal is pretty thin, I'd be afraid that they'd bend or tear it with the weight of a spare on it. Maaaaybe with a backing plate of some sort, but even then, i dunno.

You wont be tapping holes in that thin sheet metal.

Heres an idea. I made a bar that bolts under two of the rope hooks. I use it to hold a shovel and bolted a storage box to it. You could make something like this across the back, maybe out of a tad thicker piece of metal that would hold a spare tire with no issue.

Other option is to mount that thing with some self tapping sheet metal screws. Just keep a bag of em in the truck for then they rip out of the thin metal haha.

Damn too thin then. If I go into fabbing something I guess I'll ditch my idea and go with a "basket" style in the rear and tie it in somehow. Thanks for the heads up guys!
