Has anyone worked with polyurethane bushings? Am replacing rear control arm bushings on the GX and was curious about the lube situation.

Option #1: lube the fuck out of everything.

Option #2: per @Timmah! on his T4R bushing replacement, he said to insert bushings dry into control arm and then lube inner diameter and bushing exterior face.

Curious what others have done and if they've dealt with loud bushings due to grease issues.

    yes
when I use them on leaf springs I lube them before installing them in the eyes and I'd probably do the same if I was doing a control arm set.

Awe shit, the one that refreshed?

I had that happen on something important; made me so paranoid, every few paragraphs I'd select all and paste to clipboard as a backup.

Still do it to this day :anonymous:

Use a PTFE silicone based grease for poly bushings. Its usually white/clear

I've always greased the inside and outside of them but I've never done them on control arms myself, not sure if it calls for something specific

Yeah that's a proper poly bushings grease, same with the Energy or Daystar stuff. They each probably tweak the formula a little

Yeah I remember using the Whiteline grease only to notice it didn't adhere to the poly bushing anywhere as well as the Prothane Super Grease.
