1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

So now I'm considering raptor lining my truck. Been (not) dealing with the clear cost coming off (flaking off) for a while. It was just the bed near he edges of where I had sanded down for the DIY bed liner I did about a decade ago. But it appears the cancer has now spread to the front fender.

I'll be the first to admit I never took real good care of the paint. I think I've polished/waxed it once since I bought it it 2005, and that was probably in 2005 that I did it.

Anyhoo, thinking of doing something like this. I'd prefer a smoother finish, though, can that be done by diluting it?

I get Raptor-lining if the paint is failing, but raptor lining a good paint job should be a crime

Unless the paint is worse than I remember? I seem to remember it being good

 

It is actually pretty good, it's the flares that are losing their clear coat.
