Nothing that I need to get done since the server is down. But with my luck I'll head out and someone will walk in needing a last minute project

Says they are only doing the first inch of the nostril so it's not the brain tickling nasal swab that most people get

That being said I wonder how accurate the results will be

Then again, if you can test positive via your butthole then who am I to question their short swab nasal test

    It’s just the short swab.

I haven’t been tested yet and I don’t plan on being tested unless I’m symptomatic or exposured, they can suck it or give me the option to take my 1 class online.

I got the short swab back in november. Came back negative even though I had mild loss of taste for a couple days and sinus pressure. Not to mention someone I live with had the exact same symptoms albeit for a longer time and tested positive. :notsure:

yeah I've heard all kinds of reports about the unreliability of the tests. The oral swabs we took back in December are apparently not even an option anymore due to false negatives being reported

My friends got tested at the same time while they were in the same vehicle. They work together, ride around to check on wells together, same area in the office, got exposed by the same person.
1 test positive the other one didn’t, this was with the balls deep nasal penetration swab

Pcr swabs are 85% accurate. Neither are amazing. 5-10% of people who get covid overall will never test positive unless they swab the inside of their lungs via bronchoscopy
