They swapped battery packs at pitstop 1 to replenish for finishing the rest of the race. EV class only needed to do one lap since it was their own class.

There was an instance I was out camping with a buddy in the back country of WA and we came upon a severely washed out service road where two CA trucks and their owners were judging lines and being very hesitant to make their ford trucks actually work.. my buddy in his beat up f150 told me to follow his exact line, just give him space so i can skinny pedal my way through.

Gah the look on those guys faces when I went barreling through in my 2WD astro with 30"s will forever be one of my favorite memories

When I was younger and much more fool hearty I wanted to modify something like this to my astro van I beat up in the woods


Plus that way if I did spill it on its side I could just use the hydraulics to lift me up right again

 

Its an old Jim Crow law that stuck around. Most southern states had them and got rid of em, for some reason NC kept it.
