I rather spend my weekend doing nothing vs. fucking around with an old gardening truck.

Sometimes you just gotta let others learn from their money pits. Like why you should never buy one in the first place. I learned such a lesson when I decided to add a scope to an old surplus rifle. Shouldve just bought the damn thing with a scope in the first place.

Drinking and banging a fat chick at high noon. It's easier to make a fat chick with good attitude pretty vs. an old gardening truck.

I never understood why anyone would want a white sneaker. I once watched some sneaker heads video about cleaning his shoes and I was like who has time for that.

The key is just to avoid old "surplus" shit to start with. I was once walking with an old man through a tech college that was auctioning off a bunch of training vehicles as newer ones had replace them. Without saying a word to him his said can you imagine how many stripped, cross threaded and missing bolts this shit all has and people will pay top dollar for it because low hours and miles.

I find American surplus rifles and ammo to be really good shooters right out of the box. My Yugo Mauser took a new barrel and some trigger work to make it shoot good enough to compete. Especially once I found an ammo recipe it enjoys. My Russian shit is hopeless though. No amount of money or work can make them into good guns. Havent shot it in probably 3 years, dont plan on it either.
