    I wasn't referring to those needles, I was talking about the main needle underneath the diaphragm you removed

    Oh yeah I didn’t remove any screws internally. Only the the covers on each end of the carb.

    Okay, that's probably your issue then. That carb dip will turn rubber parts into jelly and those needles are either rubber tipped or the older ones have a rubber seat at the bottom of that channel. Without removing the needle, now the channel is going to be all gunked up with whatever melted from the solution.

    PLEASE NOTE

    The screw that holds the rod and return spring attached to the needle is at a certain depth. Before removing it, tighten it done all the way and check to see how many degrees or rotations until it bottoms out. Then when you reinstall the new one tighten it all the way down and back it off the amount of degrees or rotations you noted previously.

    MAKE SURE you take that screw off while working in a box or something, I have seen far too many of those return springs fly across the shop by an inattentive tech.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    I had a commercial guy come into my shop very mad and yell at me after rebuilding his fuel system, his complaint was that it ran about 5 minutes and then died and would not restart.

    Opening up the gas cap on the sales counter, you should have seen the look on his face when I told him chainsaws require more than hopes and dreams to run

    Don't be discouraged if it still doesn't want to run right after the kit is installed. I've had many techs that rebuilt bigger engines be unable to rebuild these little diaphragm carbs.

    Before ordering the kit check the side of the carb, that looks like a Zama brand carb to me so the model and spec number while be on either one of these faces, or on both faces depending on the year.20210226_122703.jpg

    Should be something like C1U-K52.

    Type that into a search engine and check price on new, alot of times you can get a complete carb for only 10 bucks more than a rebuild kit
