Problem is, its Hollywood...it's not about how talented you are it's about selling your soul to anyone and everyone until someone finally gives you half a break and you might get noticed by someone else who can actually make you famous

I had a meeting with our social media coordinator who works with somewhat popular youtubers on the regular... after some back and forth she told me I had the makings of a YT personality

I don't think I have the time/energy/want to record a bunch of content and put my life on blast just to make some money though.

I had a dude that took attendance as a grade percentage but wouldn't do it until the end of class so you had to sit there against your will pretty much to get credit. Couldn't just walk in then leave.

Sucks cause it was a stupid MS office class that the school made everybody take. IMO, if you went to high school in the last decade or two that credit shouldn't be required, as I think anyone in their 20's that cares enough to attend college can make a stupid power point.

I don't know much about it, but with how many people there are trying to do that nowadays I'm guessing it's definitely harder than it was 5 or so years ago

Yea that's the problem I have 3/4 of an associates from 1 school and 1/8 an associates from a different school now.

If this school has proven anything, it's that they're in it for the money and won't pull transfer credits cause that's income they missed out on

10/10 recognize that style. That's the kinda backyard bougie blue-collar redneck shit I build.

It looks gross when other people do it... no wonder no one is ever as proud of my projects as I am.

    And that's not staying much

I think actual 'for profit' schools (private colleges owned by corporate entities) should be avoided at all costs, they are usually prohibitively expensive and in a lot of cases, their accreditation is through some no-name business that isn't widely recognized by other schools (or any other schools).

I know of a school in Santa Barbara that got shut down after several years of operating that way. So many people spent thousands on an degree that was technically worthless. Doesn't mean their education was, but still

For profit colleges are like for profit prisons, its an inherently flawed system lol.

My first school was a community College, this is a technical college. They're not "technically" a for profit school, but because they told me to re-register and pay this semester outta pocket even though it's there departments fault, I'm calling all colleges for profit from here on out.

They don't actually care about people attempting to learn so they may better themselves, they care about enrollment numbers and the dollars they pull from those number. That's a for profit mentality and I hate the human race for it

yeah unfortunately even schools that aren't technically "for profit" still very much are so, for the people in charge anyway
