Yeah I do the same thing kayaking. I've already found 2 5 gallon buckets, a tarp, a couple of bobbers. There's a baby doll head out there too I'm going to get next time, but its in a good spot for a creepy picture so I'm doing that first

I've had it a month and am averaging once a week so far. Weather has been weird, and I've got some other stuff going on in addition to work so I don't always get out. But I joined a local paddling club last week and they're pretty active, so I expect I'll get a bunch in this summer.

Last year when I was up on the mountain doing a snow run with some other TW guys, we finish the trail right where it dumps out on the side of the highway. Some family gathering was happening in another turnout area and they were all getting in their van.
After they drove off, they left behind 2 enormous trash bags full of garbage that immediately started blowing around in the wind. So fucking lame. Me and another guy filled our trasharoos up with their nasty shit.

The desert out here is even worse, people treat it like a public dumping zone

You'd think after a lifetime of burning the shit out of my mouth eating a hot slice of pizza, I'd learn not to do it repeatedly

'surely it's cooled down enough in the 5 seconds since I last tried'

    nope

~45 seconds seems to make somewhat of a difference

    @Blue92

Anyone else can chime in as well.

6.5 grendel or 6.5 creedmore. I’m pretty set on the grendel due to it being interchangeable but I’d like to hear your opinions as well.

Grendel is more often found in gas guns.

An obscure round that serves no real purpose that can't be handled by say a 2.23/5.56 or .308.

It costs more than .223, and doesn't have the same effective range.

6.5 creedmore is a stupidly flat shooter; if you're learning mid-range I suggest. 308 as you learn to adjust for wind and better utilize hold overs between short and mid-ranges. However, if you go straight to 6.5cm, it's much more forgiving.

The downfall with 6.5cm is the velocity; it's a real barrel burner and costs a premium.

Reload your own regardless of the round you choose.

6.5 PRC is worth consideration, too, if availability of ammo isn't concern.

    You want to buy it?

I turned down an offer recently because I wasn't ready to sell it and needed to come back down to Fresno.

It is getting bad along the front range and a lot of the high country

I was pleasantly surprised last month when I hiked west slope and saw zero trash on the trail. OHV area north of GJ is treated like a public landfill, though... as long as I can remember people drive out there to dump trash :(

Fat, wide and heavy. Still needs a winch and then it'll be ready to fuck around.
