4-12 week wait time on furniture from Ashley Furniture. Wonder if they'll sell the display models...

I guess its due to no man power to build furniture. Jokes on them, I applied to me an automation tech at their factory here in town and was shot down due to the 'rona.

Min19 weeks for the "Amish" stuff we ordered. Another few weeks left. My guess is Ashley's stuff is in one of the containers from china sitting off the coast of LA right now.

So I just filled my AC from the can on my taco and I think I overfilled it, did I just fuck up my AC? Compressor makes a whine when it kicks on but it sounds more like a bearing in the clutch itself. It's blowing ice cold so that's a plus.

For what it's worth, I did that last year when my AC wasn't getting very cold. Got better then died entirely this year and had to replace the compressor lol. Wouldn't be surprised if I fucked it up last year when I filled it myself

Yeah ever since I got truck 5 years ago the AC would sound like Darth Vader in the cab. Always making weird noises and never working very well. Compressor got replaced last month and its perfect now. No more odd noises

Most of its made in Winston Salem. Where they source their materials is anyone's guess but assembly is here in NC.

Theres a massive factory there in Clemmons/ Winston-Salem that I had an interview lined up to work as somebody that retools their production line for new furniture models until covid hit. I see their trucks all over my area all the time.

Google says they have multiple factories, most in the US but some international as well.

Backed into the driveway, got out of the truck, and got ambushed by the kid down the street and his obsession with nerf battles.

Apparently he wants to check if I have time to talk every time he sees me pull in from now on.

    Yaaaaaaay.

And give him more to talk at me about? Noooooo, that seems like a bad idea.

Now If I could chase him down the street with it and scare him off forever....

    Bad idea?

He'll remember the pain of that first dart, and if he forgets? You've got 5 more reminders already loaded.

Currently consulting with the women in my life about furniture color choices. Im good with anything really as long as its comfy. Meanwhile theyre analyzing things with a fine tooth comb.

    :bananadead:

Also I took zero pics of the inside of the house and relying on the crummy listing pics for reference is not easy.

I take pride in my mismatched furniture, the very design concious women in my life tolerate it.

fun fact: Pelican 1550 cases make pretty decent speaker stands when stood on end.

Hmmm, why does this sound like a better idea the more I think of it.

Like, he was literally hiding behind the tree in my front yard waiting for me to get out of the truck...

Really need to fix that garage door opener so I can just close the door before I get out
