It still needs a smog been running on temporary permit. Since the battery was disconnected the ecu hasn't cycled through to set all the monitors yet. I have an appointment Thursday to get it smoged and then back to the DMV.

The Fast Furious Maxima guy is getting closer to being finished. He's still got to get the taillights.

Most of the install work is done according to how the building and existing machines are layed out. Kinda on the fly. After that its up to the techs to get it running. Mostly going off script to get product out the door.

Im part of a small team in my plant that designs our own machinery. No cad, no plans etc. All of its done by us from the ground up mostly from scribbles presented on the napkin the bossman had at lunch.

Controls tech is what I call myself. I have a degree in it so I guess Im an engineer but I dont like coming off as a dick that flaunts his paperwork around so I dont really bring it up much.
Well it takes a good team of people to analyze said scribbles and bring it to life. I handle the automation/electrical/programming, another dude does the fabrication/mechanical stuff etc. We all share ideas with each other and it usually works out.

Thats the difference between a big company and small family owned. What you loose in your paycheck is made up in sanity.

I rarely if ever go home and think about work. Unless I want to for good reasons such as drawing schematics or writing PLC code at home where its easier to think. I enjoy doing both and Im single so the overtime is nice.

Sorry, I can't help with that, cause if that really is a vintage light (it's in really good condition if it is) I wouldn't dare mod it. Will decrease the value & there are plenty of 18650 LED lights on the market worth buying instead.

    Went wheeling this afternoon.

Finished the trail and we were making our way back to pavement. Driver's side lug nuts decided they didn't like the truck any longer and bailed.

But all was good. Got it rolling again. Drives just fine and brakes are just fine. It happened doing 25mph in the dirt so I got lucky.

Overall an awesome way to spend the afternoon!

Looks like you came out pretty unscathed for the most part. Could of been way worse.

Woulda been way worse happening on pavement. Rotor would have been fucked at the very least. I'd have been going faster on pavement too.
