I've done a mod or two
Dyno day for the BMW, I'm not expecting much, having over boost issues. But $40 and I get a night spot (denser air), I can't pass that up. Be a bigger night for my buddy's 300zx, hopefully gonna break 650hp

    No noise complaints I hope?

Local dyno shop in town only does dyno days once a month as it gets too loud for the residents in the surrounding block.

I remember me and my other buddies with V8's would cause a shit ton of noise. Local PD would show up and actually hang out for a bit watching people chase numbers.

Only because what we were doing was completely legal.

Though I can't remember who or when, but a comment was made like "better not see that thing racing" or something.

Yes but how long until the lawmakers are coming after well built solid axle/long travel swapped trucks? Because that’s seen as unsafe in Australia. Even trucks that were approved by an engineer will get impounded if the right cop decides it’s unsafe.

Yeah its a fine line to be sure. There's a really good article about getting an old chrysler minivan inspected in germany. They're super strict.

But once safety of others on the road is an issue, its really hard to go against a crackdown. There's so many horrible trends these days as it is, we can't have it just be open season.

well congrats, 15 is much more than our 4!

I was worried at first with another kitty, but have that in mind that he would love a partner in crime. At this point hes starting to go out on the front porch and be more adventurous, leading me to think he might be getting a lil bored

We're friends with the owners, Friday isn't a normal dyno day for them. They usually only open on weekends for general dyno use. But they're in town and not using it for their own stuff today so we booked it for a few hours so we could all chase issues and numbers. I especially like this place because its a 2WD dyno, never have to worry about Subaru guys lining up to lay down a ~200whp number one after the other lol.

That's fair, I understand your logic... I don't know the figures at all but I wonder how the road deaths per capita compare between the US and Australia. I'm a believer that dangerous mods done just for looks should be illegal.

NJ has an actual safety test they do on vehicles where (they do other stuff) but you drive up on a platform and they tilt it to a certain degree. If you rollover you're unsafe and don't get to drive outta there... cause you're on your side

Baptism by fire for all the garage built rigs lol

This is why I'm all for that law that will ban them.

I understand the slippery slope involved but it honestly surprises me in the first place that it wasn't shot down from the get go. You're essentially staring at the sky while driving. How in the hell can that be safe for anyone on the road, or if a kid or something runs out chasing a ball in the neighborhood, etc.

    Vehicle mods, lawmakers, etc.

It's far from a political standpoint, but keep in mind that "viewers" may chime in with their stupidity and turn it into one.
