Yeah, if the body is going on a Tacoma you can be damn sure the frame left a long time ago. That's just parts man, wouldn't even sell up here for anything more than that

 

Body’s pretty decent other than the rockers. Easy fix. And the typical windshield spot. The old frame and some body work I should be less than 4K in to it. Of course a cheap lift is happening so that price may go right out the window. I’ve already got the junkyard looking for a set of rockers for me

 

Every junkyard vehicle up here has rockers and frame, look over on the good side of the states, rather than scabbing on another piece of rusty trash from over there

 

The engine runs like a top, parking brake somehow works, 4x4 works. The locker is dead as usual.

 

Rockers aren’t common up here. This appears to have been the cause of previous paint work. All the chip guard is gone

hell my 01s rockers are rock solid somehow

Honestly I can get them cheap enough from work I might just buy new

 

Or ignore everyone and do that. Simpler that way too.

i may. we'll see. honestly the body itself looks decent. the inner rocker and outer rocker on the driver side need replaced, the outer only on the passenger side. I may just drill out the spot welds and do it myself. then bedline the exterior on the lower 1/4 of the body.

it has an ARE cap too. so.. now theres a snug top, leer and a ARE in the family... need to find a century now. lol

 

i do need a passenger rear head rest and a tailgate.

 

Speaking of rusty junk that would pass as mint condition in Indiana. Here's my cleaned out rail with the rotten chunk removed, more prep to do but it's really all solid besides the one spot, other side was fine too (welded the access flap closed) but I'm still gonna cap it for good measure.







Gotta grind everything clean and remove the old leaf mounts to prepare for the cap.
