No But, there would be a lot to change out. Dash, dash harness airbag edu center bezel and a lot of small rando parts. Not say it's inposable but not an easy task.

Yeah, ancient one from the 60’s. Engine is bad tho and he can’t find a new one. And he’s too stubborn to put a different engine in it, even a newer Mercedes engine haha. @Empty_Lord

22R would be period appropriate because it’s carbureted, and make about the same power.

I wouldn’t call it feasible, but it certainly isn’t impossible. Like James said you need to swap dashes, wiring, brackets, HVAC ducting, etc things like that. Not worth the effort IMO.

Also I forgot to mention what kind of wire you buy is very important imo. I use Lincoln nr 211 in .030
I’m happy with it. If you are willing to play with it a bit I am confident in welding 1/4” it is just slow and a crappy dust cycle.

I wouldn’t want to learn on it though because it is a lot more forgiving to be able to dial around voltage and be able to work at what speed you want. Having a high/low switch makes you do a lot more tuning on wire speed and how fast you move the bead.

Zane told me you traded in the commuter car for that haha. Looks like a fun car. Why’d you go Merc over BMW?

I already bought a bmw this year. I've always loved the w204, in fact years ago almost traded in the BRZ for a c300. Can finally afford the c63 so figured why not? Also Carvana is buying the corolla for more than I bought it for new....

    Our new bmw:

I’m surprised Mercedes still stocks parts for a 60 year old engine.
