Finished training for driving a TxDOT vehicle. They made me take my driving test in a 2014 Explorer instead of a 7 lug light duty F250. Fun times. I can respect how well they take care of their fleet.

Most Air Force trucks I drove when I was in high school were destroyed. Like the 93 Chevy with half a steering wheel.

US Air Force - We'll budget $67 Billion on the F-22 fighter jet through the year 2060

US Air Force personnel - can we get a small budget to replace a few old POS '93 Chevys on base?

US Air Force - no room in budget sorry, you have to make those last through the year 2065 at least.

The fact that they still had some column shift manual trans (three on the tree?) Dodge vans with no exhaust tells me something wasn’t right.

It's better to spend billions to look more badass in the eyes of the rest of the world than spend a few bucks and look decent in the eyes of the people that work for you lol

If someone were to break into my home or otherwise threaten me or my family, I wouldn't hesitate - me or them. But I just don't care enough about any of my stuff to take a human life over it. I have insurance to replace my stuff. It's just stuff.

That guy who dragged the dude through the parking lot clearly needs to be put away, but people often seem more concerned with HOW he was killed, vs. the fact THAT he was killed.

Do ya'll know that I don't lock my car doors while parked in the driveway? Usually, I don't lock them anytime. My daughter locks hers though.

If somebody wants to get in one of my vehicles to steal an umbrella or window scraper, I would rather they just take it instead of breaking out a window or jacking up the door lock to break in. I don't want to deal with broken glass and having to clean it up.

The stereo head units are old, stock, and generally worthless to a thief. Last year somebody opened a car door and left it open for the night and ran the battery down. They didn't even steal my daughter's umbrella. LOL

Some of the trucks they use on bases here are old for what I'd expect being in use. I mean like 1980s bodies kinda old, spray painted camo. I'm sure they're just beater errand trucks but its funny seeing them at the gas station. One day you'll see them, the next you'll see a brand new imported Hilux.

Once you stop being civil I no longer value your life and what becomes of it. Karma is a bitch. This goes for both party's involved in the story.
