So far the tundras custom radiator is holding up.

guess I’ll be calling them for the Tacoma. THey even call once in a while to make sure it’s all good still.

@Kwikvette is currently out camping and asked for help.. he's with half a bar of service so can't use the internet.

Being a good Samaritan he offered to help a 2012 bmw 750 IL with a "low" tire by lugging his viair over from his 4R. Tire's fucking flat flat and they can't find the spare. With me reading through bimmer forum posts i learned that, that particular generation, were equipped with run flats from factory and "ShOulD ONLy UsE RUn fLaT TIrEs" so no spare option... also BMW offers a fix a flat can accessory, however it's not standard and must be purchased when the car was new

    Resized_Resized_20210622_194247.jpg

He said its got both a hole in the tread and gash in the sidewall (barely holding on) so I don't know what the bmw owner thinks fix a flat is gunna do him.

that's why I run 20+ year old rigs with nothing bigger than 15s cause I want sidewalls tall enough I can patch that shit with gorilla tape and rubber cement:anonymous:

    Its the company truck
Those top ones and there is a set that rams use that are kinda similar are some of the best looking wheels for a modern full size. Better then even most aftermarket wheels

Yeah the ones I'm grabbing are the top style. Maybe they'll make my truck look a little newer without being over the top.

I'm new to toyota trucks, just picked up a 96 tacoma 5spd 4x4 with the 2.7, has quite a bit of blow by and the coolant looks muddy, no smoke out of the exhaust and oil level is fine but cranks a long time before starting, any ideas what it could be

I’d do a leak down test on all 4 cylinders.

Yeah my mom had a BMW for several years that came with those run flat tires, no spare. When she got a flat that actually resulted in a flat, she had to call via the satellite car link to BMWs assist feature and have them send someone out with a new one. And those tires are crazy expensive.

Muddy coolant doesn't sound good. How hot does it run? The dummy temp gauge on the dash isn't a real good indicator unless it's seriously overheating.

It's takes a minute to get it to start but once it's does is idles rough and clears up pretty quick, they it runs as it should, temp gauge sometimes stops working but when it does work it's reads dead center

Fork that! I totally understand (but don't agree with) most new cars not including a spare.. but not even a can of run flat+inflator? Seems silly to me

I never understood the appeal of run flat tires.. maybe because I've been able to patch a hole in the tread since a little kid

Temp gauge in the center doesn't mean really diddly regretfully. Best to get a scanner that can tell temp while running

I HATE MOUNTING RUNFLATS. seriously. They’re a total pain in the ass. Our AWD siennas have them.

I remember that cause you asked me about removing the clip haha. Long screwdriver or bent needle nose are the only ways.
