Sold a few Walmart bikes while I was living at my buddy's house. People would leave them at my storage unit dumpster with flat tires and messed up derailleurs. Throw 30 minutes into them and some spare tubes and I can make $60-70. Harder to sell an older low end Specialized, Trek, GT, etc. because people don't know what they are. Or how superior a good hardtail is compared to these death traps.

I get to work on the 04 Honda Civic. It only has 88,000 miles. Needs new rear brakes. My kid converted the rear drum brakes to discs from an 03 Honda Civic SI. They did last long. I wish he would have left it alone. My other kid will start driving it on his 80 mile a day work commute.

Did you get the 46 springs or the EL122 springs?

I opted for the updated 122 set with the greasable shackles, however they sent bushings for the old 46 series springs :(

Nope can't say I have, luckily my phone has been trouble free since I got it 18 months ago or so

Though it does have issues charging but that happens to all my phones, I think being in my pocket all day gets crap in the charging port

Wait OME updated their leaf springs?

edit: sure looks like it. Leafs listed under the application guide have a different part number from what I bought in 2017. Wonder what improvements were made.

Have you guys driven US 191 in Eastern AZ? How fast can you usually take these curves in your trucks?

Does a solid axle or IFS handle this type of road better?

Gathering information for a conversation about switchback highways and truck handling.

I usually drive roads like this every time I go off-road to get to a trail.

I got the new ones. They got the bushings right for mine. Did you order the leafs solo? I ordered the entire kit, front and rear, maybe that's why? Still seems odd.
(And only thing on backorder for mine was the AAL.)

Haven't driven that road, but I've driven tons of roads like it in the PNW. I prefer IFS for going fast, costs a ton more to make solid axle vehicles handle well on high speed corners due to the whole body roll deal

@Kwikvette Did you drill your chassis for the ARB in your old Tacoma?
Was going to dig in today. I have the 10mm bit but no 13 and its nobody really carries em locally.

    I have mods
I have ridden that road on my motorcycle but not driven it.

IFS will generally handle curves better that a solid axle but it all depends on the suspension setup. Sway bars are a huge help for road curves but obviously detrimental to off road flex. My 4Runner doesn't have sway bars any longer so doesn't corner the greatest on road, even with the heavier springs that are now in it. Lots of body roll. So I take it easy in the corners. I'm still considering adding a rear Antirock sway bar tho, to take care of some of the on-road handling and still have good off-road flex.

This is an issue I had with IFS and no bars before my shocks were valved properly. My body roll was minimal for a heavily loaded pickup truck after having everything valved specifically for my truck. And maybe leafs in the rear helped too.

That's most of the roads around here and it's the full time rear locker and mud tires that make for scarier handling than lack of IFS in my SAS truck.

I bet it would be fun in the rain with the welded rear and some horsepower tho.
