I also gravity bled it, like you said with the slave unbolted. No bubbles, pedal does feel slightly soft

 

Truck is new to me, so not really when i drove it. I’m thinking clutch perhaps, I really doubt the trans is fubar.

 

Sounds like a grenaded clutch. Jack up the rear wheels and try to shove it in gear.

 

Might be the clutch. If so I would do the pilot and throwout bearing and fly wheel while your at it.

 

As In buy a new flywheel ? Still learning about this as I go

 

You can have it machined if its still decent

 

Can anyone recommend a clutch ? 2004 2.7l 4wd

Oh yes, but it's a pretty easy job as far as transmission work goes

 

Clutch fibers. Gotcha, I had to leave for work and I left frustrated that it’s notngoing my way

 

He won't hardly see anything on his truck, be easier to take the clutch fork boot off and look through there

 

Clutch fork felt like it was one solid piece by the way

Trans jacks are fairly cheap too...

 

So a set of knowledgeable hands and some tools shouldn’t be too crazy?
