Yep.. Strangely I have a tube in the garage thinking I would reseal the pan. Happened sooner than I expected.

I'm screwed though. I'll need to order a new pan and another one of those wimpy drain plugs. I hope I can get a pan.

Bought new Kayaks this week. We used them for about 2 hours before the smoke got to bad. The Sierras are on fire again.

I think you have a Nissan Consult port. The A32 Maximas have both the gray consult and OBDII ports. I can hookup Nissan Data Scan or ECU Talk to the consult port and play games with the ECU.

If you have a supported vehicle, there is Nissan Data Scan for Android.

I agree, Under the Dome was a train wreck from the start.

They do go bad and the stuff gets hard pretty quickly so you might have to buy another tube.

Hoping you can get a replacement pan quickly :fingerscrossed:

Toyota uses straight threads, just use a thread chaser with grease on it and get a new bolt and crush washer.

Should I mess with a filter? I'm not seeing much residue.

They're just screens, they don't clog like a foam filter unless there are huge chunks, and then you have other issues

    What Zane said.

I ran brake cleaner through mine just to ensure it was clean before putting new fluid through it.

I'll look again, but I don't think there was anything left to chase.

They ripped all the threads out? How was it still in there?

I just used brake parts cleaner on the Tacoma. Toyota Parts Dept wouldn't sell me a new one.. Said it was a waste of money.

I don't know.. When I removed the plug it was hard to turn and got harder to turn as it got further out. Threads were mangled up on it when I got it.. I babied it for one go-round knowing it would come back to bite me someday. It did.

Well sounds like the major diameter is still close, so my advice would be to run down to the local auto parts store, pickup a fix-a-thread, or helicoil kit, and fix it. It would be a permanent solution and pretty quick since youve got the pan off

And the plug? I guess I can get one from a dealer. Now that I look at this I think somebody used a helcoil in the past. Something seemed jacked from the git go.

Helicoils usually hold their shape extremely well as long as the person ran the tap in straight. But it's possible a bad drain plug could have ruined it if they didn't replace it. I know AutoZone in O'Reilly's have drain plugs that fit our stuff cuz I bought them before

Let me check with them. They have high turnover and getting someone to do anything but ring up obvious parts can be a challenge.
