The new Camrys are pretty nice, had one all last week for a rental. Stupid auto trans lag accelerating from a stop though. I think it must just be a modern auto thing at this point.

First time ever using adaptive cruise control, I hate all the driver assist features new cars brag about but damn that one is pretty awesome. Don't have to constantly adjust for people that don't know what cruise is

@Kwikvette @xtremewlr My small DD search has followed my normal train of thought to old shit and I caught myself looking at MK1 and MK2 Golfs today :anonymous:
The whole point is something I won't need to constantly work on haha

Yeah, I know the feeling. I've been watching a lot of youtuber smeedia for the Subaru stuff and feel pretty confident in the cars reliability and the ease of repairs. I will most likely mod the car but will limit it to mods that will increase the longevity of the motor (cylinder 4 coolant bypass for one, possibly FMIC as well) and keep it close to stock. That will help with the mpgs too, which will be better than the 4runner no matter what I do. So I'm leaning towards slightly newer, hence 2005 and up with my aim at a 2007 Hawkeye for the looks.

Some of the Hawkeye prices here are nutty but some folks have theirs priced okay.
I did see this 07 pop up with no bolt ons or mods: https://norfolk.craigslist.org/cto/d/chesapeake-2007-subaru-wrx/7351632892.html
I know a lot of people like WR blue but its not my fav

That's not too bad. STis are where the money is at usually but you can find them a little cheaper sometimes. I still think the STis are over valued usually. The WRX is really the better value and will most often be less moded and easier to find. I'm the same about the WR blue but the right car for the right price, I'd rock it.

Yup, has radar up front and adjusts your speed to match the driver a few car lengths ahead

It also had lane assist which is really annoying. Wants to jerk the wheel to keep you in a lane, if you get to an intersection where the lanes criss cross and shit it wigs out and beeps at you. Going down curvy mountain passes would be really annoying - i.e. If you can see there's no one ahead and you want to cut lanes a bit to keep from having to constantly steer around

Might be able to turn it off, I didn't dick around with it much

That would be annoying. The cruise thing would be all I'd need. I hate canceling and resetting.

Had these new-to-me 2005 Tundra wheels installed on my truck.
I bought a wrecked '98 Tacoma for the e-locker and supercharger and these Tundra wheels came on the truck. I think they look much nicer than the ones that came on my truck.

That's a prank/meme that's been going on for awhile, someone posts a photo of a coyote in a car or in a house and asks if anyone knows who's dog it is. Gets a rise out of all the Kens and Karens on our community FB page, they fall for it every time
