Can you imagine the outrage if someone bought it and then started modding it and wheeling it hard haha.

I'd have to shake that persons hand! It'd be great if it showed up on MUD right after the auction, looking for suggestions.

I don't frequent MUD, but from what I hear there are some purists there that would probably not take too kindly to such a thing happening to a low mileage, stock 80

I still have most of a New Belgium 12 pack my neighbor gave me the other night so I just cracked one open.

He gets free beer through his work and gives me beer every now and then :D

it's funny how growing up I was taught to be one of those people. Don't use things and diminish the value.

I remember getting a new pair of rollerblades but I didn't want them to get beat up so I wore my old ones for as long as I could. I ended up outgrowing and never using the new ones.

I've come to feel the same way about vehicles. Even if you want to keep it nice it still needs to be driven and loved and not hoarded away like a dragon's gold coin nest.

    gonna cry about it? :luvya:

I definitely would, eye pain is the real deal

UPS just dropped off more parts. I could warranty the steering stabilizer that only lasted a few thousand miles but I decided to upgrade to the Bilstien one. For as much towing and gnarly road abuse the truck sees I figured the extra damping was worth it over yet another stock replacement.

Certainly a percentage of them would not be happy or quiet about it.
I think it'd be great to see it built and used. To get to start from new on a nearly 30 year old Cruiser is rare, be a bummer to just take it out on weekend spins around town.

Yea I wouldn't hoard away a vehicle unless I had stupid F you money like Jay Leno or something, and could afford to have a garage full of endless rare cars/trucks.

Even then, I'd rather make it mine than keep it stock just to appease any purists out there.

'tasteful mods' only! :duh: good god I hate that phrase so much lol

Had to pull my contacts out but luckily I still had solution in my truck, I don't think we have an emergency eye washing station here. Actually we probably do over in the warehouse dept

    Got cinnamon toast fucked

"tasteful mods" is so subjective too lol

I tastefully modded my truck with a bunch of tubbing for 35s without much lift and other people would consider all that cutting an abomination

I was like that too for a while when I was younger but then you realize how much more the (insert whatever it is here) means to you the more, not less, you use it.

yeah. I've had that talk with myself about the Ford a lot since I bought it.

"you're putting so many miles on it. it's collecting scratches and interior wear and tear... get another daily"
"wait, it's a truck. and you bought it to use and appreciate...it's gonna get scratches and wear...use it or not it's not gonna last forever anyways"

Yeah sometimes it even takes those first scratches to finally get to the other side of that thought process.

well, fortunately within the first few months of owning it I hit a deer and someone dented the bed in a parking lot so it's been pretty smooth sailing since :homer:
