I've heard too that oils with a lot of additives tend to darken quickly, I use synth high mileage Penzoil which I guess has a lot of additives so that could be part of it.

Put oil in a pot on a burner and let it sit, it'll darken up with nothing but exposure to heat, so imagine extreme heat found in an engine along with combustion byproducts and anything left from sealing the engine and whatnot, you can see how it would darken pretty easily.

E10 87 goes bad between my bimonthly fill-up and NonE 89 or 92 is all that's available. Plus relative humidity here is 90+% @ 72° dewpoint and alcohol absorbs water vapor.
I do wonder about 2+years between oil changes but shut your whore mouth anyway.:D:rofl:

Actually I think I used Wally World Supertech oil last time, they didn't have the right Penzoil last time I went. I hate going there but they sell oil and Toyota filters cheaper than anyone else so it's hard not to.

Just have to roll the dice on whether or not someone is going to come by with a key to unlock the oil filter case before closing

Yeah that makes sense on the fuel then. I guess price doesn't matter when you fill up so infrequently. I fill thrice weekly :/

    One of my favorites.
That scene on the bench when that large family asks him about heading up the tower. Oof.

@Empty_Lord do you have an idea if the 90-95 pickup and 96+ tacoma master cylinders use the same mounting pattern

I hear you, I was filling up the Ford every 3rd day or so when I was driving to Boulder for work and down south to visit the X on weekends. I had the LS400 to daily but it was a trash winter so i was taking the truck most

I love the scene when Brendan Gleeson goes to assassinate Colin Ferrel at the park right as Colin pulls out a gun to kill himself, so he decides to cheer him up instead and they become best friends lol.

    But yeah that tower scene...

Right now yeah, for some folks I think it is a tougher expense. I don't really complain, I enjoy driving my vehicles. If it really got so bad I could buy a little econobox, but I have more fun driving stupid shit like a 350hp BMW, or a nearly 6000lb Land Cruiser, or soon a 7.4L 70s pickup truck with a three speed trans... actually come to think of it the Taco is about to be the most practical thing I own

I appreciate that, it is a choice for sure.

I do the same. I try not to bitch about fuel prices because driving my truck is a choice that I make... and one that I enjoy the majority of the time
