Took that thermostat I bought back to Lowes yesterday since the buttons quit working on it for whatever reason. Exchanged it for a bottle of poison ivy killer. Found out my fence is coated in it and is why my legs itch for about a week after I mow. Dunno why it took me mowing 4 times to figure it out .

    Thank you :fistbump:

I'd be knocking out doing the job this next week anyway so you had time.

    Appreciate it

Sorta. Been running up and down between Gonzales and Gilroy all week, with a quick trip to Santa Cruz yesterday when I had a break.

They carry beer from local breweries which are pretty good, and I love their Poke and Sliders

    Also Gilroy reeks of garlic.

Guy in the elevator warned me not to try the garlic ice cream.

I saw the artichokes yesterday when the local guy gave me a tour. Didn’t realize how big they are before.

it’s also weird seeing all the people out doing the manual picking, it’s all mechanized in the Midwest

That's how it is here until it gets cold then those people head out to Arizona.

There are companies that employ the staff, and just pick up the job to provide labor to say, Taylor Farms or Fresh Express and the sort.

Those companies don't have their own employees picking said vegetables.

In fact, recently I met the CEO of someone that does just that...but his employees solely work on harvesting marijuana. He was one of the first to pursue it some years ago as a lot of people in CA were shying away from marijuana.

Now he's got a shit ton of money (more than he knows what to do with), he always has work coming his way, and he's grown and covers several different states.
