Took the 99 back in for an alignment fix. Original alignment was back in April but I haven’t had the time off work to deal with it.

I’m worried that frame shop lied to me and the truck might not be able to be aligned due to a frame bend.

But who knows. I’ve had terrible alignments done on the 04 all over this town so it’s very likely someone messed up. Tried explaining to the girl at the counter that the parking brake bulb is burned out rn but she stared back at me blankly.

Yeah, my ex has family in Sinaloa (her mom was born there), and it amazed me how much she knew about what you had to do to 'get around'

$50-100 if cops bothered you, as your way of just saying 'I want to be left alone' kind of thing.

She would go once a year to spend some holidays with them and buy them clothing, etc cause some of the family out there is pretty poor.

Pictures of my bad knuckle setup with improperly pressed in bearing and the bored out ruined spindle.

Unfortunately don’t have pictures from when I redid them.

    @Speedytech7

Were your LC coils (factory) 8 wrap? 7?

I'm curious to see how 8 wrap LC's would do in my 4R.

Under load, LC coils will sag whereas my 890's won't.

But with roughly 200lbs, the LC's will settle to a height that 890's already provide so "lift" is pretty much identical.

However, LC's are longer and flex quite a bit better than 890's.

Just toying with ideas I guess since the 4R is sticking around and I've been contemplating a rear shock relocation.

If they're 8 wrap, would definitely be interested.

So many iterations of LC coils that I'd be afraid to dig in and find out what came in what vehicle.

I found this info from IH8 and 4R.org but it's only specific to colors/wrap and length, but not what vehicle they came out of -

    "Height/color code/wraps

21" Blue Pink White 9.25 wraps

21" Grey Orange White 9.25 wraps

    20.25" Blue Yellow White 8.75 wraps-one of these is a confirmed LX450

    19.5" Green Yellow White 8.25 wraps-one of these is a confirmed LX450

19.5" Purple Green White 8 wraps

19.25" Double Purple Dark Blue White 8 wraps

19" Double Purple Light Blue White 7.5 wraps

18.5" Double Purple Grey White 7.5 wraps

    18 7/8" Orange Orange White 7.75 wraps"

I can measure the free height and count the wraps for you. But the free height might have changed over 28 years. I could have sworn I saw yellow paint on one of em

Consensus is, if used 8 wraps work, new 7 wraps will run the same.

Don't want to bother with buying new 7 wraps and throw that money away practically if they don't work out.

I did almost that when I got the 906 but fortunately it worked out well for James since he runs unloaded.

I'll give it a check, chances are mine will be some of the heavier stock springs, I had the third row and its a fully loaded model with the towing shit.

If we were talking Tacoma rear shock relocation and leaf packs, I would've just looked at your posts and Dan's build thread.

Being a 4R, I'm trying to piece together on paper what would work to make the gas tank and upper links my only inhibitors in maximizing rear travel.

You're best bet is gonna be angling the shocks in and having them valved for the extra lever ratio. Make a nice crossmember and stop using stem top shocks haha

Oh trust me, I hate the stupid stem top mount they use.

Can't remember if it's an 80 or 100 series...but owners of those LC/LX's luck out because the mount comes out with the shock. I saw that and was like fuck man, us 4R guys have to stick our hand up there in a tight as space to get a tool/socket on there.

I couldn't even get a socket on the factory shock when I removed it; I twisted the shock body itself by hand and fortunately by pulling it, caused the nut on top to get 'stuck' and unscrew -

Getting the Kings on/off and the Bilsteins on was a bitch and a half.

You really recommend a cross member versus outboard? I was 95% convinced to go outboard.

80s come out so you can swap the stem top and then bolt it back in
