Yeah I have a friend who’s GF is cool with me. She even sat out in the garage with him when I welded on his truck. They seem to be a pretty functional couple and I’m glad I still get to hang out with the guy every few weeks.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
I had a no start, click, no click on B&S 18 hp rider.
    Jumped starter, OK
Multimeter 9V dead, 1hr to replace.
    Test battery, OK
1 hr searching part#s and ordering Switch module, Solenoid, lock out switch. Because I'm Stoopid o_O
and the turn key press button to mow in reverse has lots of wires rigged to Solenoid.
Should have checked battery terminals FIRST
    :annoyed:
5 minutes with Emery cloth, Beoch fired right up
    :help: I'm old.
    And DISABLED.

Oof, those lock out switches aren't exactly cheap, depending on oem or not

Glad you got it figured out and it was the cheapest fix.. hopefully you could return those unnecessary parts? Side note, mower battery cables use cheap insulation and corrosion can work it's way up the cable but still look OK from the terminal

I was able to cancel the order, it totaled $120.
Only corrosion was on the ends of wires.
Adding tubes to riding mower tires has eliminated the need to inflate before mowing. Toyota lug wrench has a hook end perfect for small tire removal.

I think it's awfully sad when people ditch their friends and social lives entirely for the sake of a significant other, even worse when a significant other demands it of their partner. IMO that's a sure sign of a future failed marriage/relationship. Good way to breed resentment toward each other.

couples should encourage one another to maintain friendships and their hobbies.

Well IT finally ordered a new iMac for me, be here in a couple weeks.

Tried to see if they'd order the top of the line one that costs over $50k but no dice

Rebuilding heads without machining equip isn't very fun. I have very little idea if all of what I'm doing is gonna work.

Someone on a local 4x4 FB page is asking about taking his stock Nissan Frontier on Miller Jeep Trail ... a black diamond rated 4x4/high clearance only trail in a fairly remote part of the Los Padres forest. Won't listen to me or anyone else that's done that trail several times trying to tell him it's a terrible idea. And he's got highway tires on his truck lol.

If there ends up being a recovery thread I'll link the shitshow over here. Which there will be if he goes through with it. Dudes gonna have a bad time.

I don't understand how some people can be so impervious to the advice they sought out in the first place

I've heard stories about the Miller Jeep trail. Actually want to run it someday, but would like to run it with someone that's done it before, it makes the list like the Morrison Jeep Trail, dangerous but totally doable, but not safe alone.

It's a lot of fun, if you do make it down here I'd run with it ya. I know @Kwikvette wanted to as well but he needs my Budbilt skid first lol. And sliders

You have to run Lockwood Creek first to get to the beginning of MJT which is a much longer trail and about as difficult, makes for a fun day long trip. They close it from Oct - April or so depending on weather
