You can't just lower the mounting?

Aren't you then left with the issue of it hitting the skid plate. I couldn't lower one much before it was just more vulnerable and the fan shroud wouldn't match up.

I can see the appeal of a drop-in then from Cold Case.

I had the new Tacoma version of the Koyo. It cracked. Not willing to try the 4Runner one because it’s cracking for people as well.

What lift are you going to do on your front end? I had just the fabtech springs and uppers with 4x4 fenders and was able to run 31 inch bfg kos with only rub at full lock. When I added the lift spindles nothing rubbed. The Downey kit made it even better.

Oh good Windows 11 was announced, I'm sure that won't make my job annoying at all.

MS had planned on just continuing regular updates for Win10. When the 11 build leaked I was surprised.

Supposedly free too. But only works with certain CPUs? I say we all just dump Windows and go Linux.

There's a 100% chance that will never happen, maybe for IT admins. But no one wants to put up with an OS that cannot even adopt a GUI fully. The closest Linux will ever get to a majority market share is Android

    Starter plunger and contacts ordered.

Thinking I should buy another plunger and contacts in case I've got a 1.4kw starter, but doubt it since the 4R is a limited V6 and even has a rear heater.

That'll be fun to do :burp:

Starter size is determined by the presence of the Cold Weather Package. Rear heater is standard on a 4Runner

Aware of the cold weather package; unfortunately I don't have the window sticker for the 4R even though I've got everything else (including the old salesman's business card).

And using Partsouq and other sites using my vin doesn't yield what starter I've got.

I tried looking at the label on the side but it's long gone.

Does it have the insulated washer bottle or the water channeling window trim, those are good giveaways. Though they don't help if the starter has been replaced before by someone who didn't care.
