    Anyone ever replaced the blender door on their temp control unit? Mine keeps going back and forth without any input on the temp gauge.

    Was yours making a random buzzing sound off and on for awhile, too? Mine does that sometimes and I have to turn the knob all the way hot/cold/hot/cold several times for it to stop. Thought I read somewhere on here that was a sign of needing to replace the blender door eventually

    I can both agree and disagree.

    In a corporate setting, you're nothing but a number and you're pushing each department to rank best among other stores in terms of;

    Customer service index, both sales and service

    Large heat, coming from fleet accounts versus the little guy

    Inventory management, whether it's ordering cars, or letting them go on trade, etc.

    Dealing with 3rd party vendors that the owner can't be bothered with whether it's our internet leads, our websites, customer relationship manager system, and more.

    I'm very familiar with all areas of a dealership, and would never want to employ my skill set in a corporate setting; I'd kill myself working to death.

    But we're family owned, and the only person I answered to for the last 10 years was the owner himself.

    I knew his expectations, and how to run things because he himself runs everything and was showing me the way he wants things done.

    His own son called me and we had a nice talk this morning, but he did share his dad's taking it really hard with me being gone now.

    Thank you for thinking about me though!

    My brother recently got into the car biz as a BMW service advisor. Been there about 3 months now and already talking about how difficult the hours are, I feel bad for him because he gets there at 7 am and doesn't get home until after 7pm every day. Basically only sees his kids on weekends or the odd long lunch. I dunno how long he'll be able to keep doing it. The money is good though but I feel that can only motivate you for so long.

    I think I sold my yellow shocks, so now I’m thinking about picking up a winch.

    The Harbor Freight one is decent. I've got the Chinese made WARN winch.
