I got so tired of trying to bleed brakes, and tried every cheap one man bleeder known to mankind. I ended up just buying the professional one from Mityvac, works great.

Mityvac MV6840 Hydraulic Brake and Clutch Pressure Bleeding System with Integrated Safety and Pressure Relief Valve, 7 Master Cylinder Adapters and Case , Black , 12 x 12 Inch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005MVBFM4

My dad pressing the brakes works pretty well and is free.

Sounds like @JKO1998 has a similar issue that I had. Bled the brakes, still felt like an air pocket in there and could hear it make a popping sound under the dash. I ended up bleeding about 3 bottles of fluid through them but I eventually got it.

Someone tried to buy my old welder on an agreed upon price of $250, and the guy shows up with his kid and is like “I have $200, I have to feed my kid”

Then maybe don’t buy a freakin welder?

I mean I get it, money is tight and a penny saved is a penny earned, yada yada. And in that case he might need the welder to help put food on the table with odd jobs and such.

But when you agree to a price and then show up with the intent to pay less than you said you would, that's a shitty move imo. He should've pulled that card in the negotiations beforehand

People always try to negotiate last minute. I had one guy show up for a motor. We agreed on $500, he shows up with $400 and was it's all I have. He drove 2 hours to get here. We agreed on the price so he had to go to the atm to get more cash.

[IMG] Got me some free tires for the 02. 265/70r17 with 12/32 because they’re made a bit too much noise to certify a 4runner.

So I’ll get them mounted up on a set of 4runner wheels I’ve got and the 02 will have fresh shoes.

I bought a Softopper a few weeks ago. It was clearly in rough shape from the picture, but I know they're repairable so I threw out an offer and asked the seller to confirm that there were no tears--the description said "no tears" but I thought I could see one in the pictures. Seller agreed to my offer and gave me a time and place to meet without acknowledging the tear question. I didn't have time to go back-and-forth over email, so I just went to see it.

I show up and the first thing the guy says is "you were right, there's a tear--but you could probably DIY it". On top of that, there were pieces missing, rusted and broken hardware, and it was dirty as all get out. So dirty that I thought it was faded tan from the pictures when it was actually white. I didn't even realize white was an option since they don't offer it anymore.

I still bought it (after talking the price down more) because a white Softopper is cool. The seller seemed like a nice guy otherwise, so hard to say whether I was up against incompetence or maliciousness... but some people are just lousy to deal with.

I'm still waiting on replacement parts to show up before I install it, but here it is halfway through cleaning.

And they pull that emotional card all the time. Even 'professional' sales people.
